About Me

Mark Scudiery
North Caldwell, NJ, United States
I am a retired health care executive living in northern New Jersey who is passionate about wine and food. I enjoy collecting and drinking wine and in addition to eating good food, I enjoy cooking it. I enjoy both red and white wines. My wine preference is for Old World, traditionally made wines that are an expression of the grape, the soil and the climate from whence they come from. I mostly prefer single grape wines from Piedmont, Burgundy & the Northern Rhone, with the exception of Amarone (blend) and Chateauneuf-du-Pape (often a blend). The same is true for food. I prefer simple dishes made with the finest and freshest ingredients available over fancy and contrived ones. If you like this blog please let me know. If you don’t, I’d like to hear that also.
